The Okeechobee Waterway is a pleasant trip for boaters through the heart of Old Florida scrub and ranchland. It is the only navigable cross Florida canal.
The waterway stretches 154 miles from the Atlantic Ocean near Stuart to the Gulf of Mexico near Fort Myers. There are many spots along the way for landlubbers to park and watch the nautical action.
