Merritt Island is located about 50 miles east of Orlando between Cocoa on the mainland and Cocoa Beach on the barrier island. It is actually a 62 mile long peninsula between the Indian River Lagoon and Banana River.
This part of Florida is known as the Space Coast and is a great place to visit and to live. It is a unique place, unlike any other in Florida.
