Lakeland is in the I-4 corridor between Orlando and Tampa. It is far enough south of the interstate to preserve a lot of its old Florida charm along with an amazing amount of modern architecture and sculpture.
The city is home to Florida Southern College, a small school that has the world’s largest collection of buildings designed by the famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. The buildings are in daily use and can be visited.
