Haines City is a town of about 33,364 people in Polk County in Central Florida. It is about six miles south of the I-4 intersection with US-27 and 19 miles west of Walt Disney World.
The entire area around I-4 and US-27 is often referred to as Haines City although the town proper is to the south. Citrus growing and processing were the historic main businesses of the town.
