Red Lobster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on May 20, 2024, as part of its restructuring efforts to address its financial challenges. Lakeland, Florida saw the first Red Lobster open in 1968 in Lakeland, Florida.
Gary’s Duck Inn was an Orlando favorite for years. It is no longer in business, but became the model for the Red Lobster chain.
