Amelia Island is the northernmost barrier island on Florida’s Atlantic Coast, and Fernandina Beach is on the north end of the island. It is a historic city that has played many roles over the years under 8 different flags.
Downtown Fernandina today is a beautiful place to visit. There are many well preserved historic buildings, shops, inns, restaurants, and an interesting waterfront.
