Former Center of the Citrus Industry
Clermont is a city of 43,000 about 26 miles west of Orlando. The main highways in the Clermont area are US-27 and State Road 50. It was once surrounded by thousands of acres of groves.
Historic downtown Clermont is west of the intersection of the two busy highways. It is surrounded on all sides by major developments in the area. The citrus groves that were once abundant are mostly gone.
