Loved going “down the Suwannee River” with you in this post….what a great trip it was for me. Years ago, while driving down to Florida I crossed a bridge early one morning with the sign Suwannee River. I was so fascinated, I stopped my van and was mesmerized by it’s beauty and draw. I wanted so badly to just walk down and experience it’s beauty up close, but chose to stay in the van and take it in as the sun was setting and the water was saturated in the sunset colors of orange and gold. The song rang in my brain….it was one of those moments that stayed with me. I felt I was in a time warp and didn’t want to drive away from the peace I felt there. Thanks for taking me back as it was untouched and captured in an earlier time. I would love to see more, for sure. Maybe one day.
